Walnut & Hickory Chicken Salad
Belgian endive, blood orange, spiced walnuts, Minnesota blue cheese fromage blanc and caramelized pear puree.

What a wonderful juxtaposition of tastes and textures. And, ohhh, that luxurious fromage blanc so rich and creamy binding the salad together in both taste and physically.

Décor: Elegance meets industrial.
Service: Great until the end when she kinda disappeared.

A morning drive to Stone Bank yielded a Blueberry Muffin to make it on my favorites list from Dottie’s Home Bakery. It struck just the right balance of moistness, texture and flavor while being capped off by a dome browned just right with a dotting of nuts.


A lunchtime drive back to this tiny town’s bakery/deli was worth it for fresh Grilled Turkey and Colby Sandwich.
